Coexistências – A Joalharia e a Beleza do Mundo é uma exposição que convida artistas e designers de joalharia contemporânea a explorar territórios que vão além do visível, onde a matéria, o espírito e a imaginação se entrelaçam. Nesta mostra, os artistas apresentam visões utópicas e realidades alternativas que transcendem a lógica dominante, ativando o poder libertador da imaginação como gesto criador, político, espiritual e estético.
Partindo da joalharia como linguagem sensível e simbólica, as obras propõem modos radicais de viver e pensar em coexistência com múltiplas formas de vida – humana e não humana. Os criadores aqui reunidos operam como mediadores entre mundos: os visíveis e os invisíveis, os físicos e os digitais, os tangíveis e os metafísicos. Os seus trabalhos dialogam com epistemologias indígenas, práticas místicas e mágicas, redes digitais, inteligência artificial e sistemas ecológicos complexos, traçando retratos de um mundo complexo e em radical transformação.
Neste espaço híbrido e especulativo, a joalharia torna-se um artefacto de ligação entre o corpo e o cosmos, entre o presente e futuros possíveis. Cada peça é uma proposta de escuta ativa e de relação com os outros mundos que nos rodeiam – mineral, microbial, fúngico, vegetal, animal, espiritual e digital.
Coexistências questiona: como poderemos coexistir de forma mais justa, empática e interligada? O que significa projetar o futuro a partir de alianças entre culturas, espécies e tecnologias? Que papel pode ter o pensamento simbólico e sensível da joalharia nesse processo de reaprendizagem coletiva? Como pode a beleza ajudar-nos a ler o mundo?

Coexistences – Jewellery and World's Beauty is an exhibition inviting contemporary jewellery artists and designers to explore territories beyond the visible, where matter, spirit and imagination intertwine. In this show, the artists present utopian visions and alternative realities that transcend the dominant logic, activating the liberating power of imagination as a creative, political, spiritual and aesthetic gesture.
Starting from jewellery as a sensitive and symbolic language, the works propose radical ways of living and thinking in coexistence with multiple forms of life — human and non-human. The creators gathered here act as mediators between worlds: the visible and the invisible, the physical and the digital, the tangible and the metaphysical. Their work engages with indigenous epistemologies, mystical and magical practices, digital networks, artificial intelligence and complex ecological systems, tracing portraits of a complex world in radical transformation.
In this hybrid and speculative space, jewellery becomes an artefact connecting body and cosmos, present and possible futures. Each piece is a proposal for active listening and relation with the other worlds that surround us — mineral, microbial, fungal, vegetal, animal, spiritual and digital.
Coexistences asks: how might we coexist more justly, empathetically and interconnectedly? What does it mean to design the future from alliances between cultures, species and technologies? What role can jewellery's symbolic and sensitive thinking play in this process of collective relearning? How can beauty help us read the world?
